I have a tendency to become very distracted by shiny objects. If I am walking down the street and I pass a jewelry store I will become entranced by the pieces in the window. This will then be proceeded by me going into the store and insisting I look at every piece of jewelry on display. Since I am not out and about getting distracted by shiny objects I have spent my time looking for jewelry designers online. I wanted to share some of my recent finds that are causing me to be quite distracted these days.
Favorite New Finds in Jewelry
OMA The Label: OMA The Label was created by stylist Neumi Anekhe in 2018. She saw a need for more brands representing people of color and she hoped to increase diversity within the market. I became infatuated with OMA The Label when I saw The Timepiece Bracelet. Since discovering that gorgeous piece, I have returned to her site many times to look at her jewelry. The Patricia Bracelet and The Itohan Earrings are both on my wish list at the moment.
Alighieri: This is not necessarily a new designer find for me. I started collecting her pieces a few years ago. But she consistently puts out gorgeous designs and I wanted to feature my latest finds. All her designs are based around Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy.” Each piece corresponds to one of the poet’s 100 poems. I love the contrast of silver and gold on the The Tale of Dante Necklace. Another new piece I recently discovered is the The Dante Link Bracelet. A truly lust worthy collectors item that I cannot stop thinking about.
Sewit Sium: There are certain brands you find and within minutes you know that you will be a loyal customer/ fan forever. That is what happened when I discovered Sewit Sium. The piece that caught my eye was The Double Headed Lioness Ring. I will admit I purchased it immediately. When I put this ring on I feel so confident. And right now I could use all the confidence the universe can give me. Another beautiful statement piece is her Hagosa Gold Necklace. There is a wonderful vintage quality to it and it would be a beautiful addition to a jewelry collection. I really encourage you to read her About section. It makes you fall even more in love with her pieces.
Sonia Boyajian: This is my most recent jewelry designer discovery. And I quickly created a wishlist of items from her. The piece I look at a few times a day is the Cynthia Gold Pearl Drop Earrings. The pressed gold and the pearl make a beautiful combination. Not only is she an incredibly skilled jewelry designer, but she also creates gorgeous pottery. The Zig Zag Bowl with its gold coloring and unique design is stunning. This is a perfect item to place all your precious jewelry in.
